Danfoss KVD series are receiver pressure regulators. They are intended for operation with HCFC, HFC and HC refrigerants. KVD receiver pressure regulators open when receiver pressure drops and bypasses hot gas to maintain the receiver pressure at the regulator setting.
The combined use of HPC and HPC pressure regulators makes it possible to form a control system designed to maintain a constant and sufficiently high condensing and receiver pressure in units with heat recovery, as well as in refrigeration and air conditioning units with air-cooled condensers.
KVD regulators depend on downstream pressure only. Pressure fluctuations at the regulator inlet do not affect the degree of opening, since HPC is equipped with a compensating bellows. The regulator is also equipped with a damping device to provide protection against pulsations that normally occur in a refrigeration system. The damping device ensures a long service life of the regulator without compromising the regulation accuracy.
Compliant with ATEX Zone 2. Maximum operating pressure is 28 bar.
