Danfoss REG valves are angleway and straightway hand regulating valves, which operate as normal stop valves in closed position. REG-SA and REG-SB series belongs to the modular SVL product family, all valve bodies are available with different connection types and diameters. It is possible to convert a REG-SA or REG-SB series to any other product in the SVL family by replacing the all-valve train. Valves are intended for work with HCFC, HFC, R717 (ammonia), R744 (CO2), propane, butane, isobutane, and ethane refrigerants. Also available in stainless steel (REG-SA SS/REG-SB SS).
REG valves are available in two different versions – with an A cone and B cone. Model with A cone – REG-SA (S = short cap) and REG-LA (l = long cap). A cone is designed for expansion lines, and B cone is designed for flow control in a liquid line.
REG-SA and REG-SB are equipped with vented cap and the internal seal enables the replacement of spindle seal during operation, e.g. under pressure. Maximum operating pressure is 40 bar or 65 bar depending on series. Temperature ranges from -60 to +150°С. Body and cap material made of low steel (REG-SS stainless steel) according to requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive and other international classification authorities. REG-SS made of special, cold resistant steel approved for low temperature operation.
